The Pink Shamrock Foundation is dedicated to giving hope. Breast cancer knows no class, race or geography lines; all women are at risk. However, breast cancer’s seemingly egalitarian nature stops there: Women in lower socioeconomic levels have the lowest breast cancer survival rate on record. It was this information that led her family and friends to start the Pink Shamrock Foundation to help people who are falling between the cracks of the medical system.
